what happened in 2008?
let us exclude politics okay
so what happened in the internet in 2008?
internet can make ordinary people into celebrities
the youtube become more and more popular
online communities are much more abused.
so what happened in the Philippine internet scene this 2008?
I have a few recap though some of it happened happened in 2006/2007 but are still "IN" in 2008. anyone can disagree with me.
MY Top Five Pick
5. The fifth spot is BISAYA RULES- the visayan versions of popsongs and holywood movies. it became a hit on youtube like the bisaya" Low" dance music and the bisaya spoofs of movies like "300" and "TROY". (Benjo and Tonton)
[link][link][link]4.top four THE FAKERS/POSERS - it takes a pretty face to be popular. when the cebuana Ellen merriam Adarna posted pictures in the internet, thousands of teenage girls stole her pictures and posted it . claiming that it is their picture. and hundreds of fanboys made digitally manipulated nude photos of ellen. (some even porn).
but then ... she accepted the offer of posing sexy on a mens magazine. (even dating the c0-owner of that magazine Deither ocampo?)
[link][link]3. MAKE FUNNY VIDEOS AT HOME AND BE POPULAR the brothers moymoy palaboy (moymoy and roadfill) they just made several funny lip synch videos at home and made it a hit with millions of viewers and then given a spot on "Bubble gang" tv gag show. plus MTV Philippines and other tv guestings.
[link][link][link][link]2. top two DANCE LIKE A PRISONER the inmates of cebu. can really dance and made the prison a tourist attraction
wow 20 million viewers on you tube.
